Instapot Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1 cups water or vegetable broth
  • 1 bay leaf

Directions

  1. Set pot to saute and heatpan.
  2. Add rice and toast 4-5 minutes stirring constantly.
  3. Add water or vegetable broth and bay leaf and stir. Make sure all rice is covered by the liquid.
  4. Set to pressure cook, high pressure. For brown rice cook 22 minutes. White rice set for 4 minutes. Cover with lid.
  5. Allow steam to naturally release when cooking is complete (about 15-20 minutes).
  6. Fluff with fork before serving.

Brown rice cooked quickly in pressure cooker for versatile side.
