Brown rice cooked quickly in pressure cooker for versatile side.
Instapot Rice
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 cups water or vegetable broth
- 1 bay leaf
Directions
- Set pot to saute and heatpan.
- Add rice and toast 4-5 minutes stirring constantly.
- Add water or vegetable broth and bay leaf and stir. Make sure all rice is covered by the liquid.
- Set to pressure cook, high pressure. For brown rice cook 22 minutes. White rice set for 4 minutes. Cover with lid.
- Allow steam to naturally release when cooking is complete (about 15-20 minutes).
- Fluff with fork before serving.
